All of these trips originate in Bartlesville Oklahoma. There are two different layouts for the trip reports. One has quite a lot more pictures and the other is more austere. Let us know which one you like best.

Well we finally set in concrete what we're going to do.  There was a real struggle since we had the opportunity to see a shuttle launch but that will have to wait for another day, perhaps in 2010.  Our 2009 trek will be another trip up through Colorado to The Great Sand Dunes, Telluride, Mesa Verde, The Durango Silverton Railroad, Grand Canyon and Las Vegas.  I can't think of any trip that would have more variety. We will keep everyone posted as we go along the trail.  Yea!!  We're all getting excited!

May 2008 Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Yellowstone

This is the first trip we have ever made that fell apart most of the time!!  It was an opportunity to make a trip with our Granddaughter Molly who was attending Oklahoma Baptist University.  She is getting older and we know that one day soon she will leave the nest and we won't be able to make these long trips with her.  We decided to go on vacation a little earlier in the year so Molly could take some summer classes.  It wasn't a lot earlier, maybe two weeks earlier than normal at the most.  We were scheduled to be at Flagg Ranch in Grand Teton National park the last week of May.  Flagg Ranch called just before we left and told us there had been so much snow this spring they had not been able to keep up with snow removal and would have to cancel our reservations.  So,, we moved our reservations to the second week of June.  As a result of changing Yellowstone we had to reverse our travel agenda.  The new agenda would be Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, shopping at Jackson (maybe we will see Harrison Ford in the local Albertson's.  He lives in Jackson you know.) and home.

June 2007: Deanna's mother Jenetta is the trip historian and has written quite a lot about our History Vacation to Boston and Washington D.C.  The major places we wanted to visit were Amish country in mid Ohio, Niagara Falls, Boston and Washington D.C. So, off we went as if we had good sense!!

A really great trip with my Granddaughter Molly and wife Sue to Boiling Springs State Park in Oklahoma, Clayton Lake NM, the Air force Academy, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek CO, Great Sand Dunes, Royal George, Monarch Pass, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Durango Silverton Train, One Hundred Gold Mine, Mesa Verde, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.
