Isn't it interesting to note that when you go to the home page of most of the Highway Patrol web sites that they don't provide emergency contact methods right up front in the most obvious place on the page? Now you can almost ALWAYS find a picture of the person in charge of the whole thing, sometimes with biographies and phone numbers, but can you find the emergency contact numbers?? Nooooo.

"The CHAMP program is a roadway service patrol operated by the Department of Transportation along the major highways throughout Connecticut. "
"CHAMP began along the I-95 Corridor in 1996 and the Hartford area in September of 1999. The service is provided each weekday between 5:30 A.M. through 7:00 P.M. and selected holidays and Sundays and provides motorist assistance such as changing flat tires, jump starting, pushing vehicles to shoulders, providing fuel and offering shelter. In addition, the service patrols react to accidents and notify Highway Operations Centers in Newington and Bridgeport of the need for State Police, medical, fire and/or other emergency response. The drivers remove highway debris and dead animals; report damaged guardrail, illumination and drainage problems, and provide travel assistance"
